Spotify Lite is a shortened version of the standard Spotify. Spotify Lite is only 15 MB, while the standard Spotify on Android is up to 85 MB. This version will be a reasonable option for users with limited storage capacity. It will be suitable for many older versions of the operating system, using less space, not only this version will help us save battery more than the standard version. Spotify Lite still works as the main Spotify app.
THE INTERFACE HAS CHANGED A LOT
True to the compact and lightweight lite version, SpotifyLite interface has also been released by the publisher, it has redesigned the interface to make it much more compact, but it still looks very similar to the main interface. If we pay a little attention, we will notice the difference in this lite version, namely the navigation bar in the lower corner of the screen. Spotify Lite only shows the home, search and favorites buttons, while the regular version has buttons like homepage, browse, search, radio and library.
THE INSTALLATION MENU HAS ALSO CHANGED SIGNIFICANTLY
Speaking of the SpotifyLite settings menu, it is also very minimalistic; the publisher has removed settings like volume level and quality in this version. In Spotify Lite, we are only allowed to control how much mobile data space the app has used and how much capacity the app has occupied.
We can also make changes ourselves by setting limits on Spotify Lite’s monthly data usage, including limited size options like 500MB, 2GB, and 3GB.
FEWER FEATURES
In the standard version of Spotify we are allowed full access to detailed features including offline mode connectivity social networking features filters, volume levels and music quality. But to accommodate the taste of low-cost phones, Spotify has given up fewer features to create a version of Spotify Lite that better suits these needs.
MUSIC RUNNERS HAVE DRAWBACKS
In the standard version of Spotify we can select and listen to some specific songs, and we can download the ones we like to listen to offline when we have paid a daily fee. But for the Spotify Lite version it is almost all removed whether you are a paying user or a non-paying user you still cannot choose a specific song to listen and download. We can only listen to one type of song mix. This is a big disadvantage in the Spotify Lite version.
In my opinion it is also enough to prioritize the removal of unnecessary feature such as Car View or animation. However, this impoverishment is really disappointing for those who are experiencing this version of Spotify Lite.
THE VERSION ONLY APPEARS IN SOME COUNTRIES.
Spotify Lite has only officially launched in 36 countries so far, mostly only in places with low-cost phones. Countries released include Latin America, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia.
Since I started using Lite, I have used numerous versions of Lite, which will remove unnecessary and annoying features that drain your battery and its capacity.
